EXAMPLES OF MY WORK

Gravity Social - Events & Sales Manager

The Role

As Events and Sales Manager I am responsible for all aspects of promoting and managing Gravity Social as a venue.

Process and results

As Events and Sales manager I am responsible for curating a 12 month event calendar and coinciding marketing plan. In 2025 Gravity Social is going to be delivering 80 Events of various scope and styles. In order to achieve this I have drawn up a concise 12 month marketing plan that factors in three forms of outreach – paid, organic digital and physical. I liaise with Gravity’s marketing department briefing in the design team and also carry out a small part of the content design myself and manage our social media accounts. Alongside this, for paid ads, I brief in an in house PPC and SEO specialist and use our partners BWP for paid Meta ads. This is coupled with email outreach which are drafted by myself and distributed through force 24 to maximize our digital exposure.
Due to the wide range of events from live music to sports to 250 cap corporate experiences my approach at Gravity has to be flexible utilizing the right tools and finding the right promotional spaces for the job. Social has grown by 45% YOY in 2025 and I expect these financial growth figures to continue.

Jibworx

Founded in 2014 Jibworx are a snowsports and entertainment specialist brand focussed on delivering snowsports competitions and music events across the European Alps.

The Brief

Support the creative director of the company by project managing a full season of events with supporting staff, budgets and business partnerships factored into the schedule.

The Outcome

Jibworx recorded their most successful season ever from December 2023 – April 2024 with a total of 32 events ranging from 50-500 people including supporting events at the major European festivals Rise Festival and Snowboxx. I oversaw the timetabling and budgeting for these events, managed the event pricing and staff costs as well as helped build crucial event partnerships with major brands to increase event quantity and season profit for the current and forthcoming seasons. Jibworx work with various freelancers such as Videographers, photographers, designers and marketing experts so a large part of creating this calendar is ensuring that all events will have the necessary content and assets required to maximise their impact and all events are listed on paid promotional sites such as Skiddle and FIXR when operating in the UK.

AJAM Festival

Opening in 2018 AJAM Festival has grown from a celebration of the best domestic grassroots UK Ski and Snowboarding to the largest Festival of its kind in the UK.  With 2000 attendees in 2024 AJAM Festival draws people from across the UK and Ireland to ski, snowboard, eat, drink and dance.

The Brief

Having worked developing the production of the festival since its inception I was made responsible for creating the Festival as a stand alone brand, with its own identity and marketing style helping increase the festivals reach and attendance allowing brands and partners to benefit from the marketing opportunities such an event provides.

The Outcome

Last year AJAM Festival achieved its largest attendance yet of 2000 people. This was due to my efforts creating a comprehensive marketing schedule and strong brand identity to promote the festival to a wider audience. I was able to attract attendees from Scotland, Ireland and across England helping with transport logistics and costs to maximise the attendance. To achieve this I partnered with FIXR, creating event listings for all university groups attending and contacted 50+ student unions to ensure that AJAMs marketing footprint was diverse simultaneously hitting the student market and local events space.

AJAM marketing is a lengthy process involving numerous partners from national UK brands such as Red Bull, Rizzler and Jubel to small local food providers and all are briefed into the marketing expectations of the festival and join the promotional effort.

Alongside these partners AJAM has it’s partner companies which need to be carefully promoted alongside and within the festival itself.
AJAM Festival was a huge success in 2023 across the board ensuring its longevity as a must attend event for its target audience in the future.

AfterJam Collective

AfterJam is a snowsports lifestyle brand with active lifestyle, freestyle skiing and snowboarding at the cultural heart of what they do. Operating as an online store since 2016, they have grown throughout the UK and European snowsports scene, providing a platform for snowsports enthusiasts and athletes alike.

The Brief

I was responsible for ensuring AfterJam’s presence as a clothing company was felt at Jibworx events and AJAM Festival whilst helping manage their wider brand activation’s alongside the brand director and creative director of the company.

The Outcome

I helped AfterJam launch as a brand to become to largest UK student snowsports clothing brand by creating exciting and innovative ways to engage with students through events such as trade demo’s, student snow sport competitions and live music events which have now become the backbone of jibworx.

One of the primary ways I achieved this was by connecting students love of music, parties and snowsports events together to create exciting content opportunities and organising a brand summer holiday for all ambassadors, staff and sponsored Atheletes. Whilst I was with AfterJam the company enjoyed rapid success through a large ambassador program and UK and European events schedule ensuring its digital and physical opportunities to generate content and brand engagement were always met.

Big Bro Events

I founded Big Bro Events in 2016 through my passion for music and delivering high quality experiences. During its operations I delivered 12 events focusing on visual immersion using 3D projection mapping technology to create a series of unique nightlife experiences.

The Brief

Big Bro Events was created to fill a hole in Manchester’s nightlife scene which paired a love for promoting up and coming UK talent with exciting and new visual experiences offering something unique and different to the nightlife scene in Manchester.

The Outcome

During its 2 years in operations I succesfully delivered 12 events at a range of venues including Mint Lounge, Antwerp Mansion and Joshua Brooks, CUBO (now Nest) and Indigo (Withington) in Manchester. Our primary promotional tools to achieve this were skiddle, Facebook and Instagram.
The main focus of the events was the event series Discopia. Discopia combined 70s inspired Disco music with the creativity of a distopian atmosphere which was shown through the use of 3D projection mapping where my production team illuminated the walls with 3D distopian visuals. The most successful event saw 800+ people in attendance and grossed over £10,000 in profit.  Alongside these feature events I also worked with charities such as mind UK to fundraise and donate all event profits to these charities. By the end of the companies span I had a team of five people working for me helping deliver these events working on all things from marketing, production and venue booking.
